PAGASA Weather Forecast: No Suspension of Classes Yet for September 9, 2013


Are you waiting for any class suspension for Monday, September 9, 2013? As of posting, despite scattered rainshowers throughout the day, no suspension or no declaration of no classes has been issued by any local or national government agencies that include CHED, DepEd and NDRRMC.

Based on the latest Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecast, the rains being experienced in the country is brought about by a Low Pressure Area (LPA).


PAGASA weather bulletin issued at 5 p.m. today, indicated that the LPA was spotted in the area of Catarman, Northern Samar currently combined with the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) across Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.


As of this writing, no tropical cyclone exists within the Philippine Area of Responsibility, according to PAGASA.

Below is PAGASA's complete weather forecast valid until 5 p.m. tomorrow.

CALABARZON and the provinces of Mindoro and Marinduque will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the Northeast to North will prevail over the rest of Luzon and from the Southwest to South over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas.
