2013 Bar Exams: 5,593 Law Graduates took 112th Examinations

The October 2013 Bar examinations started at the University of Santo Tomas on Sunday, October 6. It will be a four Sunday examinations for a total of 5,593 law graduates.

Reports say that examinees came as far as Mindanao, Iloilo and Isabela to take the annual Bar exams. This years examinations is the 112th Bar exams.

Examinees took the Political Law exam in the morning and Labor Law exam in the afternoon.

Manila Police District provided a tight security and deployed 250 cops within the perimeter of the university.

Police Chief Superintendent Isagani Ganabe explained that "Ang binabantayan namin talaga dito yung last day dahil sa mga welcomers, pero ganun din ang first day."

CPA Board Exam Results May 2013: PRC Announces List of 1,553 Licensure Passers

The results of the May 2013 CPA Board Exam was released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. A total of 5,665 examinees took the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination held last May 19, 2013.

According to the PRC, there were 1,553 examinees who passed the CPA Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.

Sara Volz Experiments Algae in a $100K Laboratory (Video)

Sara Volz, a 17-year-old Science genius, is spending her time breeding new algae inside her $100,000 state-of-the-art laboratory in Colorado Springs. Her project is aimed towards converting algae into an alternative source of fuel.

She received $100,000 reward for winning the Intel Science Talent Search recently. Volz is an incoming freshman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology next fall. The senior high student revealed that she "want to go into academia, so do basically what I'm doing, except with better labs."
