Devina DeDiva is still a trending topic on Twitter, Facebook and several search engines that include Google, Yahoo and Bing.

However, it seems that Devina DeDiva cannot take the heat from the fire she personally lit up. After being bombarded with negative reactions from her racist Facebook post about the 2013 Miss World winner, Devina DeDiva, deactivated her account from the social networking site.

Last Monday, DeDiva posted her reaction about Megan Young being the Miss World pageant queen. DeDiva maligned Filipinos by saying that "They are poor, smelly from cleaning toilets and uneducated... They are mostly filthy maids and will be only of that status. End of story."

On Wednesday, October 2, former beauty queens made their presence felt by supporting Megan Young. Below are some of the reactions by previous Filipina pageant winners.

  • The honor is not only Megan's but the Philippines. We have made history and have proven once and for all that the Filipina is the most beautiful woman in the world! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas - Cory Quirino, national director of Miss World Philippine.
  • What’s wrong with being a maid? Is that a crime? - Gemma Cruz-Araneta, 1964 Miss International

  • To all her detractors, bless your hearts. I am proud of and grateful for Megan’s simplicity and golden heart. - 1979 Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.
  • I have nothing to say (to those critics). Let Megan show the world how great she is as a Filipino woman. Meanwhile, let's all do our best to uplift our country by giving nobility to our jobs…wherever we are. This is a call for everyone to step up and show the world that we are kind, God-fearing people. - Miriam Quiambao, 1999 Miss Universe first runner-up.
