Typhoon Odette: PAGASA Weather Forecast, September 16-17, 2013

MANILA, Philippines - Tropical Depression Odette (Bagyong Odette) was spotted at 930 km East of Casiguran, Aurora based on the latest Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecast issued at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2013.

Typhoon Odette is reportedly moving West Northwest at 7 kph with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph.

Based on the PAGASA weather bulletin, TD Odette will enhance the southwest monsoon that is expected to affect the central and southern part of Luzon and Visayas.

Residents of Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON and Occidental Mindoro are being alerted for moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

PAGASA weather forecast cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms for the rest of Luzon and Visayas.

Conflict areas of Zamboanga and other Mindanao areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
