Singer sues McDonalds over broken glass

Are you a McDonald's fan? You may want to read this and be cautious the next time you drop by at your favorite food chain.

A Gospel singer from Brooklyn, New York sued McDonald's after eating a tiny piece of glass inside a McChicken sandwich she ordered in the food chain's restaurant in Manhattan.


The New York Post reported that Jacqueline Simpson has filed a lawsuit against McDonald's on Friday, May 17.

Simpson reportedly claimed in the lawsuit that she lost her soprano voice. Since the incident, Simpson said that her voice became "hoarse" and "rattly." The 52-year-old clerk also claimed that she is being mistaken for a man when she talks over the phone.

On Tuesday, Paul Goodman, owner and operator of several McDonald's restaurant in Manhattan emailed a statement to The Huffington Post. Goodman explained that,
Rest assured I take these matters very seriously. Providing safe food and beverages is a top priority at my restaurant. Upon learning about this claim, I took immediate action to gather the facts and began an investigation into the matter. As this is a pending legal matter, it would [be] inappropriate to comment further.

A series of lawsuits has been filed against McDonald's recently due to several unwanted objects found in their food. Among the items found by consumers include a used condom and a sharp plastic.
