Roman Blum Left $40 Million But No Heirs

A fortune worth $40 million with no heirs? Hopefully, these large sum of money won't end up in the wrong hands.

Roman Blum, at the age of 97, left behind the largest unclaimed asset in the history of New York.

The comptroller's office explained that the $40 million fortune of Blum will be turned over to the New York State if unclaimed for three years.

As of posting, no relatives has come out to lay down claims on Blum's assets.

Blum, a Holocaust survivor from Poland, reportedly transferred to New York with his second wife. The couple had no children and later divorced.

The millionaire businessman reportedly had hundreds of buildings at Staten Island. However, he once lived in a state of paranoia and even hide $40,000 in his bathroom ceiling.

Not even a will can be found that would have been a basis for the beneficiaries of Blum's millions.
